About CalcMyWay

CalcMyWay is a collection of 8 free calculators built around one idea: a number on its own is not an answer. If a calculator tells you your mortgage payment is $2,431 and nothing else, you have no way to know whether it included property tax, whether it assumed monthly compounding, or whether it is simply wrong.

So every calculator here shows its working — the formula it used, what each variable means, the assumptions baked in, and where the underlying rules come from. You should be able to reproduce any result on paper if you want to.

What we hold ourselves to

  • No sign-up, no paywall, no limits. Every calculator is free and always will be. Advertising covers the cost of running the site.
  • The formula is always shown. If we cannot explain how a result is reached, we do not publish the calculator.
  • Assumptions are stated, not hidden. Where a calculation depends on a convention — tipping before or after tax, nominal versus effective interest rates — we say which one we used and why.
  • Sources are cited. Where a calculator encodes a rule set by someone else (a tax threshold, a WHO classification, a statutory limit) we link to the primary source.
  • Dates are honest. Each page shows when it was last reviewed, not a timestamp that updates itself to look fresh.

What these calculators are not

They are tools for understanding and estimating, not professional advice. A mortgage calculator cannot see your credit file; a health calculator cannot examine you. For decisions that matter, use these to prepare for a conversation with a qualified professional, not instead of one. See our disclaimer for the full position.

Corrections

If you believe a calculator is wrong, we want to know, and we would rather hear about it from you than leave it wrong. Tell us which calculator, what you entered, what you expected and what you got, via the contact page. Reports that identify a genuine error get fixed as a priority.
